Spinning Wheel Fairy Tales
For children ages 5 and up. Participants will hear about spinning wheels written about in fairy tales, try hand spinning, and make a spinner game. Refreshments will be served. Advance ticket purchase is required by contacting the museum at 301-777-8678. Tickets are $10
Feb. 22 ~ 5-6pm
History Happy Hour
From 5-5:30 light refreshments will be served. Ansel Shircliffe will share George Washington in Cumberland from 5:30-6:00pm. A "behind the scenes" tour to include rarely exhibited artifacts on the third floor hallway and a demonstartion of the newly restored dumbwaiter will be offered at 6pm for those who wish to participate. Advance ticket purchase is required. Tickets are $7

The Union Grove One Room School was recently restored by the Allegany County Historical Society with a grant from the Maryland Historic Trust. The school
is used to give schoolchildren the opportunity to experience a day in a one room school. For additional information contact the Historical Society at 301-777-8678.
